Manna Family,
Can you believe we are already in May?!? Each year it feels like the ‘busyness’ of this month leads to overwhelm, anxiety and fatigue. It’s gotten so bad in the past that I’ve referred to it as the month of “MAYhem” with our staff… but not anymore. I’m deciding to ‘flip the script’ on this historically full month of activity and invite God’s Blessings into each and every moment. Will you join me in this intentional mindshift? Let’s switch from settling for “MAYhem,” to speaking forth, “MAY the Lord bless you!” This month will still be full of graduation parties and events, important holidays (Mother’s Day and Memorial Day), and the beginning of summer vacations. Nevertheless, let’s determine to be a people of blessing, reframing each May moment, while choosing to share these powerful words over one another’s lives:
‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’
– Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT)

Small Groups
Celebrating wins together through Small Groups!
Hear from some of our leaders what being part of a Manna Small Group looks like!

REST AND PEACE IN GOD
When I asked our newly formed, women’s small group on Day 1 what it was they were hoping to receive from our study on “Rest and Peace in God”, I figured they were going to say, “To get rest and peace in God”, right? And although that should be and indeed was true, what they really and overwhelmingly stated they wanted was….

YARN FRIENDS
On the first Sunday in March, Yarn Friends threw a Craft & Tea Party for five of the ladies staying at The Freedom House. Rachel Henry set a beautiful table for tea supplied with her personal collection of beautiful teapots, cups and saucers, sugar bowls and cream jugs. Mallary and Donna baked delicious treats, and Sue Norton broke the ice with…
If you’re not a part of a Manna Small Group, we invite you to find a place to connect. There’s a group with an open seat for you! As we move toward summer, let’s all get better at celebrating what God is doing in our lives. Our next official Small Group cycle will kick off in June. If you would like to join one sooner, click the button below and a member of the team will help get your connected.

Small Group Baptism Celebrations! We’ve had a great spring Small Group cycle and are looking to cap it off with some baptism celebrations! We are encouraging all Small Group Leaders to find out if there’s members of their group that would like to be baptized. If so, send an email to Pastor Donnie at donnie.hatcher@manna.church. He will make sure your Small Group has everything you need to host a baptism. We look forward to capturing some photos and videos of your baptisms and sharing the excitement of what God is doing in and through your Small Group!
First Fruits Offering
This month Pastor Chris shared his heart on the ‘First Fruits Offering’. This First Fruits Offering is our initial response to God’s provision of our first permanent location in Okaloosa County, Florida. It should be given prayerfully, sacrificially, and as a one-time gift above your regular tithe.

Outreach
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” – Matthew 28:19-20
April SERVE Saturday Recap
“We gathered at our new church building to pray over the building, the land, and the neighborhood. We picked up garbage, fellowshipped, and asked the Holy Spirit to lead us. We regrouped after for insights. It was a powerful afternoon! One couple on the SERVE team shared how much they enjoyed serving in the community and how it’s allowing them to feel more a part of the church and the city.” – Rebecca Dykes

May 2024 Curriculum
Pre-K
This month, our Nursery-preK kiddos are learning about “Stones, Slings and Giant Things”! A heart that matches God’s heart is ready to do what is good! But how do you know if your heart matches God’s heart? Get to know God by through the Bible, singing to God, and praying. In this unit, we’ll look at the story of David and Goliath.
Each Sunday, nursery through pre-k kids will bring home their activity sheet showing you exactly what they learned in Bible Adventure. Dive deeper at home with this month’s Bible App for Kids at-home resources!

Elementary
In May, grades k-5 are reviewing the “Best of Konnect HQ”– our elementary curriculum from Life.Church. Weekly teaching episodes are full of humor and feature real-life kid challenges as the crew at Konnect HQ searches for biblical truth and models spiritual growth. The lessons taught in these episodes are so important, they need to be experienced more than once! Follow along at home!
You can find Bible plans for your family that correlate with what your kids are hearing on Sundays—just search for “Konnect” in your YouVersion Bible app
