Manna Family,
Have you ever felt like you were under a spiritual attack, but didn’t know what was taking place or how to respond? I’m sensing from the Holy Spirit that our local church is becoming more and more of a threat to the kingdom of darkness in our region, and God has prompted me to lead us through a five-week study on spiritual warfare entitled, This Present Darkness. I feel a healthy burden to be sure you’re equipped to both know your enemy and walk in your full authority as an ambassador for Christ’s Kingdom.
Start praying now as we engage in this study, as there will certainly be backlash in the spiritual realm. Especially prepare your heart for SEEK WEEK (11th-15th) as we fast and pray for spiritual breakthroughs in our lives, our church, and our region! We are just two months away from officially ‘taking new ground’ and moving to our new building. God has been tremendously gracious to us as a church. Let’s armor up, stay alert, and charge the gates of hell with the Light of Jesus in our hearts!
It’s going to be an amazing Fall… Let’s Change the World!
Growth Track is on the move!
Due to building renovations, Growth Track will no longer be held in the Chorus/Band room. While we are currently meeting in the Teacher’s Lounge across from Rally, be on the lookout for updates and announcements each week as we embrace the “PIVOT!”
This Summer in Growth Track
6 graduates leveled up in June,
31 new folks said “count me in,”
5 birthdays were celebrated with questionable singing,
4 dozen cupcakes mysteriously vanished,
3 pens were definitely chewed on,
2 leaders received Empowering Leadership books (cape not included, sidekick optional), and….
1 amazing God was praised the whole way through!

Meet the Basabe Family
Welcome to the Manna Family, Alex, Inna, Arielle, and Evelyn Basabe.
In the words of Inna Basabe:
“The Basabe family has been truly blessed to call Manna church our home for nearly 2 years. We are another military family that God has reached along the military highway. We moved to Niceville in early 2023 and did some church hopping in the area before finally finding Manna. The Lord brought us together as young high schoolers in 2008, although we didn’t start dating until we were young adults in 2017. Since then God has blessed us with our 2 beautiful girls, Arielle and Evelyn. We have been Christians most of our lives but since joining Manna, God has matured us both in our spiritual journey. Growth Track has shown us our gifts and callings that God has placed on our hearts. Getting to meet people and get connected to this body was the added on blessing. Here at Manna everyone embodies the Mission of the church to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love The World. We look forward to grow as leaders in this community and to see where God takes us!”
A Manna Church Small Group consists of three or more people who gather to build community, to grow, and to serve together. Small Groups provide an environment where people can discover and develop their God-given passions, gifts, and talents. We believe life-change happens in Small Groups!
Our Small Groups exist to accomplish three goals:
Your Small Group should be a grace-filled environment place where members can find a place of belonging and form friendships.
Small Group Leaders help group members take at least one step forward in their walk with God. They also help group members discover and develop in their God-given talents, gifts, and callings.
Your Small Group should be about growing and reproducing disciples, equipping and empowering new leaders, and inspiring new Small Groups. As we wrap up our summer cycle and prepare for the upcoming fall cycle of Small Groups, you’re invited to find a group that fits your interest and schedule.
If you’ve gone through LeaderStep, begin to pray about leading a group! Our next Connect Sunday is on September 7th and will be here before you know it. So, save the date and let’s get ready to find community and change the world together!
This summer Manna Moms has been meeting at MJ’s for a child friendly movie while the moms get to visit. I have really enjoyed connecting with a handful of the moms during this time and getting to know them better. It’s been really fun to watch them connect and form new friendships.
This past Thursday night about 12 of the moms came over to my house for dinner, and we just had the best time! I love how members of the group knew that two others had birthdays within the week and they brought cake and balloons, and we all celebrated them. We also had a new gal from church show up and get to know us.
Life is so much richer when you do it together with others. If you are a mom and don’t have a support system, please sign up to be a part of Manna Moms and find your people!
We will have a few more gatherings this summer before we start our next group in September.

Our mission partners have been busy all over the world! In July, we sent a team to the Manna D.R.E.A.M. Center in Fayetteville to help with their daily outreach programs. Currently, Alisha and Kayla Keener are in Brazil serving at an Indigenous Leaders Conference with Hour of Harvest. Heart of the Bride is celebrating a new school year starting in India at Nirikshea with many new students coming to hear the hope of the gospel for the first time. We also have partners deep in the thick of things in the Middle East, bringing hope and healing in the midst of war. Dr. Doug Hume (Charis Medical Missions) has been leading evangelical medical clinics in the Dominican Republic; he is helping Blessing Medical Mission with their first ever clinic there.
Please keep everyone in your prayers. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide their work, for the hearts of those they encounter to be opened and willing to receive the gospel. Pray for safety and ease of logistics as our partners prepare for travel, clinics, conferences, school years starting, churches opening, and many more ventures in the coming months.
If you’d like to connect for more details and further insight into the work of our mission partners, please join us in the small group, Missions Minded. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month.
